Paralegal

Public Finance ParalegalBurr & Forman LLP is seeking an experienced Public Finance Paralegal to join its Columbia, SC team. This role will work closely with attorneys to provide exceptional service to our clients. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing documents, managing the scheduling process including appointments and deadlines, and facilitating communication with attorneys and clients while exhibiting a commitment to integrity and excellence.Key ContributionsPrepare, review, edit and maintain documents, memos, reports, correspondence, and other similar documentsPerform complex paralegal duties requiring knowledge of legal terminology and legal processes from inception to completionMaintain and manage calendars for applicable transaction deadlinesCommunicate regularly with clients to track progress and resolve issuesPlace required legal notices in newspapersSchedule and coordinate logistics for meetings, travel, and closingsProofread own work and the work of othersOther responsibilities as neededThe EssentialsMinimum of five years of experience as a public finance paralegal in a law firmParalegal certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceProficient with Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients via email, telephone and in personHighly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a desire to take ownership as a contributing member of the teamAble to balance competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentOvertime may be requiredAdditional InformationThis position is a unique opportunity to join a firm that prioritizes our clients, colleagues, and communities.
