Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities to support effective cash management and financial operations. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, along with proficiency in financial reporting systems and spreadsheet applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring cash activity, supporting financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and promoting proactive measures to identify and prevent fraudulent activity. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting overall business operations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions to support cash management objectives. Assist with the day-to-day administration of the Accounting and Finance department. Serve as a backup for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations across multiple locations. Support banking activities, cash management processes, and related financial functions. Prepare and provide financial and statistical information to management to assist with planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist external CPAs with year-end reviews and financial reporting requirements. Work closely with office personnel, external service providers, and senior leadership to ensure the accurate processing of business transactions. Generate reports and analyses that support business continuity, operational efficiency, and future profitability. Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures to support organizational objectives. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and general accounting principles. Experience with cash management, banking activities, and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet applications. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
