Position Details

• Position: Registered Dietitian

• Location: Bakersfield, California

• Contract: 8 Weeks

• Schedule:

  • Day Shift

  • 5×8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

• Floating: Required to Adventist Health Delano, Tehachapi, and Selma based on staffing and census needs

• EMR: Epic (Recent Epic experience within the last 12 months required)

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or equivalent

• Master's Degree (required for candidates eligible for the RD exam on or after January 1, 2024)

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential

• Dietetic Internship or equivalent

• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient clinical dietitian experience preferred

• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months

What You'll Do

• Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments

• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans

• Provide medical nutrition therapy and patient education

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams

• Monitor patient progress and document interventions accurately

• Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition-related topics

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards
