Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Day Shift (0615–1845) | 3 days per week, 12-hour shifts | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, nursing interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care provided within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with provider orders.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, report abnormal findings to the appropriate provider, and administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other treatments accurately and timely.
• Complete required Cerner documentation including use of Care Compass to organize and document assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education.
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation, taking appropriate action when needed.
• Provide patient and family education related to disease process, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with providers, staff, and other departments to support interdisciplinary patient care and serve as a mentor to other nursing staff.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of Med/Surg or Emergency Room RN experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Cerner EHR/EMR experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited RN program required.
• Current Colorado RN license, or ability to obtain required licensure, in good standing.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification required or must be completed at the next available course within 3 months.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience using Care Compass within the Cerner platform for care task organization and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment with strong adaptability and sound clinical judgment.
