The CFO will be responsible for providing both operational oversight and forward-looking financial guidance to ensure the organization's long-term fiscal health and support high-quality public services. This executive leader will play a central role in shaping budget strategy, evaluating financial performance, and driving responsible, transparent financial practices. Key responsibilities include serving as the primary financial spokesperson, advising on a range of financial issues, maintaining central accounting and financial systems, leading the preparation of the annual budget, and ensuring compliance with various financial standards and regulations. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of progressively responsible financial experience, with a strong background in governmental accounting and auditing standards, budget development and management, financial reporting, and grants. The role requires a clear and confident communicator, with strong administrative, organizational, and analytical skills. The CFO will also be expected to have a customer service orientation, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a high level of professionalism in public speaking. A valid South Carolina Driver’s License is required.
