Job Description The Legal Associate II is responsible for providing complex clerical and legal support to two or more staff attorneys. This position prepares court exhibits, drafts pleadings, correspondence, and real estate documents, and maintains files and records. This position files documents with the local and federal courts and prepares calendar appointments and deadlines. The incumbent may serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing directions. Preparing and reviewing various legal documents including pleadings, agendas, contracts, and subpoenas Assisting individuals by phone and in person Maintaining and coordinating schedules, meetings, depositions, and court reporters Setting appointments for attorneys in the department Maintaining various legal files, records, complex logs, and reports Performing various other clerical duties to include taking meeting notes, conducting title research, and preparing cases for trial Job Description The Legal Associate II is responsible for providing complex clerical and legal support to two or more staff attorneys. Essential Duties Preparing and reviewing various legal documents including pleadings, agendas, contracts, and subpoenas Assisting individuals by phone and in person Maintaining and coordinating schedules, meetings, depositions, and court reporters Setting appointments for attorneys in the department Maintaining various legal files, records, complex logs, and reports Performing various other clerical duties to include taking meeting notes, conducting title research, and preparing cases for trial Grade The grade for this position is B231. Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma, or G.E.D AND Four years of legal support experience An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
