A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Professional 313Pay Range: $123,000.00 - $190,700.00Job DescriptionThe Senior Staff Attorney will provide a wide range of legal services to a large, technically adept conglomerate of nonprofit entities. The Senior Staff Attorney will manage multiple matters concurrently and work with university leaders to support the University’s mission to improve quality and expand access to post-secondary educational opportunities.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assists senior attorneys in the Office of General Counsel (OGC) with research and analysis on a wide variety of legal issues including intellectual property, student affairs, privacy, employment, regulatory compliance, and other issues impacting the University. Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts for a variety of business transactions to align with university standards and business goals.Facilitates and manages contract enforcement activities.Engages with University leaders to identify and address risk under the supervision of senior attorneys.Evaluates and responds to potential legal claims under the supervision of senior attorneys.Responds timely to all inquiries.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Job Description Disclaimer: This position description provides the major duties/responsibilities, requirements and working conditions for the position. Additional travel may include conferences, visits to company locations, and other business-related events as needed.
