Practice Setting: Inpatient MTS (Medically Complex) Floorwork on Unit
Start Date: August 4, 2025
Assignment Length: 3 6 months

Unit Beds: Mid 20s
Patients/Day:
Practice Population: 99% Adult /
Trauma Level: Non-trauma center
Type of Care: Non-emergent, inpatient unit
Surgical Services: 24/7 availability General, Neuro, CT, Ortho, Vascular
EMR System: EPIC
Lab/Anesthesia: 24-hour availability

Team & Support

Physicians in Practice: 4
Mid-Levels: 3
Ancillary Support: Full compliment
Supervision Required: Yes Mid-levels and possibly other staff
Other Physician Coverage During Locum: Yes

Duties & Required Procedures

General PM&R Responsibilities:

Discharge Summaries & Med Reconciliation
Weekly Care Plan Meetings & Documentation
CMS-compliant Pre-Admission Screening
Narcotic Prescribing
PAPE / History & Physicals

Specialized PM&R Procedures:

Stroke Rehab
Amputations
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified/Eligible in PM&R Required
CT License at time of submission Required (No IMLC)
DEA Verbal confirmation required at name clear
ACLS Required
Local Candidates Only Only mileage reimbursed
Credentialing Time: days
