Position Details Full-time, 40 hours/week Monday – Friday Hybrid work opportunity Office located at 450 Columbus Blvd, Hartford Position Responsibilities The Bureau of Boilers within the Office of the State Building Inspector is responsible for administration and enforcement of the Connecticut Safety Code for Boilers and Hot Water Heaters. This position will be responsible for performing inspections for boilers that are not inspected by insurance companies. This position is based out of the team's main office at 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford and will perform boiler inspections throughout Connecticut. As a Boiler Inspector with the State of Connecticut, you will: Conduct detailed inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with state regulations and safety standards. Identify potential risks and flaws in boiler systems and provide actionable recommendations to address these issues. Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, findings, and any corrective actions taken. Collaborate with other state departments and collaborators to ensure seamless communication and effective resolution of any boiler-related concerns. Provide expert advice and mentorship on boiler maintenance and safety practices to facility managers and other relevant personnel.
