Picture this: It’s 2nd Shift . You step up to a Makino mill, load your tools, prove out the program, and watch the first chips fly. By the end of the night, you’ve turned demanding blueprints into precision parts that pass inspection the first time. If that’s your kind of win, you’ll fit right in.

What will I do?

• Set up and operate CNC milling centers (Makino, Haas; Fanuc/Haas controls) for milling, drilling, and tapping.
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to plan setups and inspections.
• Select tooling , define speeds/feeds, and hit surface and dimensional targets.
• Measure precisely with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; perform in-process and final checks.
• Adjust on the fly —optimize offsets, resolve issues, and keep parts in spec.
• Record machine parameters, outputs, and quality data for full traceability.
• Troubleshoot tool wear, machine faults, and programming errors.
• Improve processes to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap.
• Work safely and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Operate Makino CNC Milling Machines as a core part of your workload.

What do I need?Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Formal machining apprenticeship or equivalent training.

Experience

• At least 3 years as a CNC Mill Machinist.
• Hands-on with Fanuc and Haas controls.
• Experience on Makino CNC mills.

Core skills

• Strong CNC milling know-how and best practices.
• Advanced print reading and GD&T .
• Precision metrology skills.
• Tooling selection and application.
• Independent setup and operation.
• Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and team communication.

Bonus skills

• CNC milling programming.
• Lean manufacturing familiarity.

What’s the environment like?

• On your feet for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs .
• Requires excellent manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
• Active manufacturing floor with noise, dust, and machinery.

• CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) (Mazak, Haas, Doosan, Makino, Dmg Mori Seiki)
• CNC Lathe (2–4 axis) (Nakamura)
• CNC Swiss Lathe (Citizen)
• CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC)
• CNC Lathe (5+ axis)

Where should I already be strong?

• GD&T
• Machine setups for production runs

This is a 2nd Shift opportunity. Pay rate is based on experience!
