Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide individualized physical therapy assessments and treatments to residents
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans to restore mobility and function
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and techniques
- Contribute to a positive rehabilitation experience for every resident
Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Virginia
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- New graduates are warmly welcomed and encouraged to apply
- Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehab is a plus
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices
- Skill in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
- Ability to build rapport with elderly residents and their families
- Familiarity with SNF regulations and care standards
- Effective time management and organizational skills
