Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting opportunities are available for Physical Therapists seeking summer contract roles in school settings near Ellicott City, MD. These positions are ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students’ mobility and functional skills in both special and general education environments.

Two distinct summer roles are open:

Extended School Year (ESY):

• Five-week, in-person program running June 29th – July 30th, Monday through Thursday.
• Professional development session scheduled for June 25th.
• Hours vary by location: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm at special education facilities, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm at general education sites.
• Physical Therapists provide up to 6 hours of services daily, for a total of 24 hours each week.

Infants and Toddlers Services:

• Program runs from June 22nd – July 30th, with no work scheduled on Fridays.
• Deliver assessments and interventions for younger children.
• Maximum of 7 hours of service per day, up to 28 hours per week.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience working in school-based settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to fit age and developmental needs.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy sessions according to each student’s IEP or service plan.
• Collaborate with special educators, general educators, and families.
• Monitor, document, and report on student progress.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings as required.
• Provide assessments and contribute to individualized goal-setting.
