Senior Tax Manager - UHNW & Private Client | Stamford, CT / New York, NY

JCW Group is searching on behalf of a leading global alternative investment firm to identify a senior tax professional for an available role within their private client function. This is a rare opportunity to work on the personal tax affairs of the firm's founders and principals - family office-type work at the highest level of complexity, embedded within one of the most sophisticated investment platforms in the world.

The Role

You will sit within an established, high-performing tax team and take ownership of compliance and planning for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, their trusts, foundations, and related entities. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing tax workpapers, estimates, and filings for UHNW individuals and related structures
• Coordinating with third-party tax providers on return preparation and documentation
• Responding to federal and state tax notices and audit inquiries
• Supporting tax planning and structuring initiatives led by senior leadership
• Partnering with internal teams on tax reporting and transactional matters
• Contributing to process improvement and automation within the tax function

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of U.S. tax experience focused on high-net-worth individuals
• CPA or clear roadmap to obtain the designation
• Experience with trusts, foundations, and related entity structures (1040, 1041, 990PF)
• Strong communication skills - comfortable working with senior internal stakeholders and external advisors
• Stamford, CT / New York, NY commutable
