Territory Executive

POSITION SUMMARY The Territory Executive is responsible for identifying leads, proactively prospecting, and selling new and profitable business within an assigned market, typically outside a metropolitan area. The Executive sells the full suite of Republic Services products, including municipal solid waste and recycling containers, electronic and universal recycling solutions, and total waste stream management services. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Identify viable leads, manage prospects, and acquire new, profitable commercial, industrial, and recycling business to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets. Maintain and retain existing customers by building long‑term relationships and customer loyalty. Follow up on leads within 2 hours and create follow‑up tasks in Salesforce. Perform contractual re‑signs to extend relationships and increase profitability. Respond to cancellation requests according to escalation policy. Communicate proactively with customers to support company pricing initiatives. Use Salesforce daily to schedule, document all activities, and develop robust customer profiles. Prepare and deliver sales presentations, follow up with decision makers, and close sales. Conduct phone blocks and cold‑call prospecting to establish initial and follow‑up appointments. Capture customer emails and manage rate restrictions and credits. Maintain awareness of market behavior and competitive trends to anticipate customer needs. Offer additional services, including total waste stream management solutions, to grow revenue. Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner. Collaborate with Sales Manager to review retention activities, progress versus goals, and status of key relationships. Build company visibility through participation in company‑sponsored activities, trade shows, chamber events, and community events. Perform other job‑related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 years of relevant sales experience. Minimum 2 years of direct selling experience in a customer‑facing role that includes identifying and addressing customer needs. Experience in the waste or service industry. Valid driver’s license. Territory includes portions of Madison and Jersey County. PAY RANGE $62,100.00 to $85,350.00* (range varies by locality).
