Medical Coordinator-Cardiology Specialists

Position Objective The Office Coordinator organizes efforts with staff, healthcare providers and management to ensure quality healthcare while successfully complying with current healthcare regulations and company standards. Acts as a liaison between office staff, healthcare providers and management. Essential Job Duties Assists front office and clerical staff in developing and implementing short and long‑term work plans and objectives. Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained. Oversees the process to prepare patients for examination and treatment. Provides timely coaching and feedback to staff on fulfillment of job duties and patient services. Schedules appropriate coverage for Front Office staff and manages schedule requests. Screens telephone calls for referral to physicians. Educational and Experience Requirements CPR certification required. High School graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and ability to operate standard office equipment required. Some knowledge of third‑party insurance. Two (2) years of health‑care experience in admitting or pre‑admitting preferred. Typing 40 WPM and knowledge of CRTs and computer and electrical equipment.
