Registered Nurse Psychiatric

Job Summary:


Seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health RN to provide compassionate psychiatric care to patients. This role involves supporting mental health treatment plans and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric medications and monitor patient responses.
• Implement and evaluate patient care Plans aligned with psychiatric protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized treatment strategies.
• Document patient progress, behavioral observations, and interventions accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient crises and de-escalate situations to ensure safety.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatments.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or relevant state.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing standards and mental health treatments.
• Excellent assessment skills and ability to handle crisis situations.
• Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including day hours.
