Job Summary:
Telemetry Medical Surgical Float Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The role involves performing phlebotomy, IV therapy, and caring for post-operative and orthopedic patients within a critical care setting. The position requires coordinating total nursing care, participating in patient and family teaching, and demonstrating leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in Massachusetts; BLS certification; at least 2 years of Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing experience; experience in phlebotomy and IV therapy; successful completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module; successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia exam; ability to float between facilities as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with managing chest drainage devices, epidural analgesia, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac medication assessment.
• Additional Information: The nurse will practice according to department expectations and standards, utilizing internal and external resources to provide effective patient and family education. Responsibilities include medication administration, recognizing signs of neglect or abuse, managing noise and pain, and responding appropriately in emergency or urgent situations. Skills in time management, documentation, and use of Electronic Medical Record are essential. The role requires addressing the age-specific needs of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
