Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

An occupational health provider is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a 2-day assignment in Montgomery, AL. This role focuses on conducting human performance exams, clearance evaluations, and fit-for-duty assessments in a high-volume event setting.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: Wednesday, Sept 23rd and Thursday, Sept 24th
• Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Setting: In-person, occupational health event setting

Responsibilities:

• Perform human performance exams to assess functional movement, musculoskeletal stability, and job-related physical capabilities
• Evaluate lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, range of motion, strength, and endurance
• Conduct focused physical exams and health screenings, including vital signs, medical history review, and general assessments
• Determine medical clearance and fit-for-duty status based on clinical findings and physical demand requirements
• Document evaluations accurately and work collaboratively with onsite clinical and operational teams to support efficient workflow

Qualifications:

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Experience making clinical clearance decisions and assessing functional capacity for job-specific tasks
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume screening setting
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and decision-making skills
• Ability to commit to the full shift
