And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.Position SummaryThe Freight Logistics Coordinator manages end-to-end logistics operations, oversees vendor and carrier relationships, and leads process improvement initiatives to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of goods. This role is critical in supporting international and domestic logistics, resolving escalated issues, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain.What you will be doingLead and coordinate end-to-end logistics operations, including scheduling, documentation, and compliance for domestic and international shipments.Oversee vendor and carrier management, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and resolution of escalated billing or service issues.Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize transportation routes, and implement process improvements.Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies, and support audits or regulatory reviews as needed.Mentor junior team members, provide training on best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.Ongoing analysis of industry and operational data providing continuous improvement opportunities.Basic Requirements:Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 4 years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics, ORBachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field + 2 years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics, OR Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, ORJD/PhD in Business, Engineering, or related field, ORIn lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in customer compliance and/or logistics. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.   Preferred Requirements:Strong knowledge of supply chain management, business operations, and resource planning, including strategic planning, customer service, production, and cross-functional coordination.Demonstrated ability to manage third-party vendors, including tender creation, contract negotiation, and coordination.Experience preparing and reviewing shipping and customs documentation for domestic and international freight, ensuring compliance.Proficiency with logistics and transportation management software, including implementation, optimization, and analytics.Proven ability to resolve complex shipment discrepancies or delivery issues, collaborating with carriers, internal teams, and external partners.Power Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu.
