Vista Medical Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room to join our surgical team. The OR Nurse plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The OR Nurse plays a critical role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing patients for surgery, including preoperative assessments and patient education.
- Ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment by adhering to infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Provide intraoperative nursing care, including monitoring patients, assisting surgeons, and managing surgical instruments.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform post-anesthesia care and assist with patient recovery as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.
- Respond quickly and effectively to surgical emergencies.
- Active RN license in the state of [Insert State].
- Minimum of one year of experience in an operating room or perioperative setting preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control practices.
