Are you an organizational rockstar who loves event planning and helping people succeed? We are seeking a Learning & Onboarding Operations Specialist to champion the end-to-end onboarding experience for new hires, contractors, and early-career program participants. You will ensure new team members have the tools, systems access, and community support they need to succeed from Day 1.

Key Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Tech Coordination: Manage hardware logistics, IT setup, and software system access so new hires hit the ground running.
• Event & Logistics Management: Plan and execute dynamic orientation sessions, training workshops, and networking events (including room bookings, catering, tech setup, and materials).
• Early-Career Program Support: Coordinate cohort rotation administration, communications, tracking, and surveys for program participants.
• Process Improvement: Maintain program trackers, document standard workflows, and identify ways to scale and optimize training operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in onboarding coordination, training logistics, or program administration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard office productivity, collaboration, and data tracking tools.

salary: $37.24 - $43.98 per hour

Responsibilities

The TLO Operations Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing onboarding, early-career program operations, training event logistics, systems access setup, and administrative support for the Gas Power Engineering Technical Learning Office. This role ensures consistent, compliant, and high-quality onboarding and learning experience for new hires, including employees, contractors, and EEDP participants, while supporting operational excellence across TLO programs. This Schenectady-based role combines day-to-day onboarding execution, systems and equipment coordination, event planning, stakeholder communication, and standard work/process management.
