Remote Jr Data Analyst (IAM)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IAM Data Analyst Contractor to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the critical field of cybersecurity, focusing specifically on analyzing data related to various IAM projects and system usage. The contractor will support our efforts to improve security posture, operational efficiency, and compliance by transforming raw data into actionable insights.Key Responsibilities

? Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze IAM data (e.g., access requests, permission audit logs, usage metrics) across multiple projects to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for process improvement.

? Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports (using tools like Sheets, Looker Studio, or similar) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project timelines, resource allocation, and IAM system health.

? Project Support: Assist the IAM project managers in tracking project milestones, documenting requirements, and evaluating the success metrics of recently implemented IAM solutions.

? Compliance & Audit: Help prepare data for internal and external audits by generating accurate reports on user access, role assignments, and privileged access management (PAM) activities.

? Documentation: Document analysis methodology, report specifications, and data sources to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.

Skills and Requirements

? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

? Strong foundational understanding of data analysis concepts and experience with data manipulation tools (e.g., advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets or Big Query).

? Familiarity with basic database concepts and the ability to write simple queries (e.g., SQL) is a plus.

? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

? Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into easily understandable business insights. ? Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles, including concepts like least privilege, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user lifecycle management.

? Experience with a data visualization tools

? Previous contractor or academic project experience involving data analysis or IT security.
