Mastercam 5-axis Programmer

Our Benton IL client, provides the drill bits and other equipment to the rock drilling sector. They are seeking a skilled and motivated MasterCam 5-axis Programmer to join their dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating complex 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and machining will ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining efficiency and safety. Responsibilities:

• Master cam 5 axis programming.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to produce high-precision parts.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, to verify part dimensions and quality standards.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of tooling selection, geometry considerations, and machine capabilities to maximize productivity while minimizing waste.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce setup times, and improve overall workflow efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), CNC lathe operations, or milling processes to ensure continuous production flow.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with MasterCam 5-axis programming.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
• Expertise with precision measurement instruments, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, machining processes, and manufacturing best practices.

Compensation: $75,000 $80,000, Benefits, 401k, PTO
