Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Required Skills/Experience
2-3 years of specialty experience required.

Unit Details
Charge nurse is a clinical supervisor with no patient assignment and provides break relief.
Portable telemetry used as needed; monitor tech available. Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
Common diagnoses/types of patients include hips, knees, shoulders, and spine; no drips.

Shift & Scheduling
4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.
Holidays work into permanent staff rotation.

Floating Requirements
First to float.
May float to telemetry with a 1:4 ratio and could also float between Med-Surg floors.
