JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Portland, OR 97225 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Sep 01, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: TBD 3 days/week 3-5 shifts/month Call Schedule: 12-hr or 24-hr shifts; 7:30a-7:30a Call Type: In-House Call Response Time: 15 minutes Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency PATIENT INFORMATION % of Practice: 40% Low risk, 60 high risk, 25% C-section 30% Office GYN, 5-10% Surgical GYN Annual Deliveries: 312 Average Daily Volume: 15-20 patients/day Weekly GYN Surgeries: 0-2 FACILITY INFORMATION Lab & U/S onsite EMR System: Epic Equipment: Bedside Phillips U/S, Leep Machine, Hysteroscope Physicians in Practice: 12-15; 2 MFM Support Staff: MAs, APPs PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: 90 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Low & High risk pregnancies FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) OB Ultrasounds Routine & Complicated deliveries Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Required Licenses: OR DEA: Yes Certifications: BLS Case logs from the past 24 months Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN call coverage. Manage low and high-risk pregnancies, including FHR interpretation and OB ultrasound performance. Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech, and multiple births. Provide clinical decision-making for C-sections and manage VBACs and laceration repairs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of APPs and MAs to ensure high-quality patient care.
