Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) - Urgent Care - Float - Full-time

Aspects of this Position: 100% outpatient only Opportunity to work with a well-established team consisting of physicians, mid-level providers, licensed social workers, RNs and LPNs Close proximity to community hospital for easy access to additional services Epic EMR No Call Minimum Qualifications: Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies NP Certification or Ohio Physician Assistant License One to two years of clinical experience preferred CPR Certification Supervisory experience a plus DOT Certification is preferred Working Conditions: Lifting up to 30 lbs 4-5 times per day Carrying up to 20 lbs occasionally Standing 1-2 hours at a time Walking approx. 30 minutes per hour throughout the day Withstands pressure and deals with emergency situations as needed Normal coordination and/or visual attention to connection with the standard flow of work Good working conditions in an office environment Average working hours with possible non-traditional hours Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times Supports change and participates in activities to promote organizational development Reviews and complies with MVHC policies and procedures related to regulatory standards (HFAP, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.) Demonstrates actions and behaviors that consistently contribute to the safety of all (i.e., incident reporting, hazards, and infection control management, etc.) Positively and appropriately accepts direction and contrastive input from Leadership Completes appropriate documentation within the specified timeframe Follows proper technique in assisting and preforming procedures Recognizes and reports signs of abuse or domestic violence Displays ability and uses critical thinking skills to set priorities for patient care, self, and others Conducts and/or coordinates daily rounds with physicians Submits incident reports, evaluations, anecdotal notes, informal and formal counseling’s by deadlines and/or in a timely manner Adheres to all MVHC’s policies and procedures fully cooperating with the MVHC Compliance Program Full-time with benefits 40 hours per week About MVHC: Founded in 2008, MVHC serves as a best-in-class health care resource to ensure all members of the communities we serve have access to high-quality, affordable health care.
