Elite Litigation Associate - NYC or Washington, D.C. (Hybrid; Non-Public Search)

We have been retained by a high-end litigation boutique that seeks to hire, for its Manhattan or Washington, D.C. office, a junior litigation associate or a judicial law clerk making the transition to private practice. The role focuses primarily on complex commercial litigation, while also offering work on white-collar and regulatory defense matters. The firm is known for sophisticated work, an accomplished group of attorneys, and a genuine commitment to pro/low bono work. Key Responsibilities Handle complex commercial litigation matters across all phases, from pleadings through discovery and trial Support white collar and regulatory matters as part of a broader litigation practice Participate in the firm's pro bono and low bono initiatives Work closely with senior litigators on strategy, briefing, and client counseling What the Firm Seeks Approximately two to three years of experience (i.e., likely class years 2023 to 2025) Elite academic credentials Excellent writing and analytical ability Substantive litigation experience or clerkship training Fluency in Mandarin is a plus What the Firm Offers Salary of $225,000 to $245,000, depending on class year 1,750 billable hours requirement to qualify for discretionary bonus compensation (typically below market) Hybrid schedule (three days a week in the office) Unlimited PTO Excellent substantive experience on sophisticated commercial and criminal litigation matters A tight-knit environment with an accomplished group of attorneys Emphasis on pro bono and low bono work We have placed four attorneys with this firm and have close ties there. #J-18808-Ljbffr Lord Gurman & Lewis
