Travel Registered Nurse LTC Job

Overview
Registered Nurse – Long-Term Care (LTC) travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Start date 09/07/2026 for a 13-week contract. Weekly pay range $1,766–$1,902. No guaranteed hours. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). Setting involves a hospital-style facility with LTC units, including 3 East (31-bed Alzheimer’s/dementia unit), 3 West (42-bed long-term care), and a 42-bed Transitional Rehab Unit for short-term rehab. This assignment requires candidates outside a 50-mile radius and includes up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation. Note: the client reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract. Candidates with licensure background hits will not be considered.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to residents across LTC units per individualized care plans
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapy as appropriate; perform wound care and geriatric assessments
- Monitor resident conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
- Employ verbal and non-verbal techniques to support residents, including those with Alzheimer’s/dementia, and respond to behavioral cues
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, including therapy and ancillary staff, to support rehab and long-term care goals
- Maintain safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance; assist with care transitions and discharge planning as needed

Requirements
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Licensure: Valid State of Maine RN license or a compact multi-state license
- Experience: 1–3 years RN experience preferred
- Skills: Medical terminology knowledge; strong teamwork and communication; ability to float to other LTC units; flexibility to cover 24/7 shifts
- Other: Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Lewiston, ME
