Business Development Center (BDC) Representative

The Business Development Center (BDC) Representative is responsible for handling incoming sales calls and internet leads, building relationships with prospective customers, providing consistent follow-up, and scheduling appointments for the Sales Team.

The BDC Representative interacts daily with the BDC Manager, Sales Associates, Sales Managers, support staff, and customers. This is a high-volume, performance-driven position that requires strong communication, organization, consistency, and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and responding to inbound sales calls and internet leads
• Identifying customer needs and scheduling dealership appointments
• Making outbound calls to new and existing sales opportunities
• Communicating with customers through phone, text, and email
• Consistently following up with customers throughout the sales process
• Confirming scheduled appointments prior to the customer's visit
• Following up with missed appointments to reschedule
• Following up with customers after dealership visits
• Maintaining accurate customer notes and activity in the CRM
• Working closely with Sales Associates and Sales Managers
• Meeting daily call, activity, appointment, and performance expectations
• Providing a professional and positive customer experience

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong customer service and phone skills
• Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls
• Computer literacy and ability to learn CRM systems
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Goal-oriented and comfortable working toward performance expectations
• Automotive BDC, sales, customer service, call center, or telemarketing experience preferred, but not required

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; previous customer service, sales, call center, telemarketing, or automotive experience preferred. We are willing to train motivated candidates with strong communication skills and the right attitude.

Compensation

Starting at $16.00 per hour for candidates without automotive BDC experience, plus commission opportunities based on appointments that show and sell.

Experienced BDC candidates may be considered for additional compensation based on experience and performance.
