Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer with ARDMS OB/GYN and NT certification for a high-risk pregnancy clinic setting requiring fetal echo experience.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience required, including at least 1 year in a comparable setting
• BLS, ARDMS, ARDMS OB/GYN, and NT certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
• OB/GYN and outpatient experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester imaging
• Skilled in amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, fetal echo, nuchal translucency screen, and umbilical cord doppler
• Experience with fetal measurements including abdomen, abdominal circumference, bone lengths, cerebellum/ventricles, diaphragm, and head/heart imaging
• Experience with placenta previa and multiple pregnancy assessments
• Experience with transvaginal, uterus, ovaries, and renal/pelvis imaging

Responsibilities

• Work across 6 ultrasound rooms at one hospital and 2 rooms at a second hospital location
• High Risk Pregnancy Clinic within Maternal Fetal Medicine setting
• Perform 7-9 detailed ultrasounds daily and report findings to 3 MFM physicians
• Patient population includes maternal and fetal high-risk conditions
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Assist with amniocentesis, amnio reduction, CVS, and PUBS procedures
• Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
• Epic EMR experience required
• 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekends, nights, or major holidays
• No on-call requirement
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Perform detailed high-risk obstetric ultrasounds and assist with invasive prenatal diagnostic procedures
• Work closely with a team of 3 MFM physicians
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Scrubs required in any color with no prints
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel employee and must be located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower bill rate
• RTO requests should be confirmed with the hiring manager and submitted upfront prior to start
• May be expected to float between sister facilities within the health system
