Senior Subcontracts Manager

Our mission‑focused team values technical excellence, collaboration, and agility and we are looking for a Senior Subcontracts Manager to join us in supporting these endeavors. Responsibilities Assist in moderately complex and routine subcontract administration functions, including review and negotiation of agreements, subcontracts, and other contractually related documents. Support general procurement activities as required. Evaluate requirements and prepare RFQ/RFPs, ensuring correct prime contract flow‑down provisions. Evaluate subcontractor proposals, analyze exceptions to terms, perform risk assessments, and conduct cost or price analysis as necessary. Develop negotiation strategy, negotiate and award subcontracts. Produce and maintain all subcontract records. Develop and document small business plans in accordance with government regulations. Monitor performance of subcontractors, negotiate changes, and perform closeout on subcontracts in accordance with company procedures. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers. Prepare and negotiate other agreements when requested. Assist in updating department policies and procedures and contractual documents by researching current regulations and laws. Participate in special projects as needed. Frequently work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data. Qualifications Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DCAA and other agency regulations. Familiarity with DCAA audits. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Advanced computer proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work independently and exhibit excellent problem‑solving skills. Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices. Bachelor’s Degree in a Business‑related field (or equivalent education and experience). Additional specific government contract management education or certifications are a plus. Eight (8) or more years of experience in various types of subcontracts for complex items or R&D under federal government contracts, including cost‑type and fixed‑price agreements.
