The Civil Construction Superintendent position requires a construction professional with proven experience managing commercial projects with a broad range of size and scope. As Civil Construction Superintendent you will provide leadership and management skills to oversee and coordinate all daily operations and phases of on-site activities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil construction, site development, underground utilities, concrete, bridge and earthwork projects You will be supported by experienced, proven Project Managers and office staff, providing the resources you need to be successful in your role.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Manage the construction schedule, including company manpower, material delivery, and equipment to ensure the efficiency required to meet quality and completion expectations.
• Coordinate and manage the scheduling of all subcontractors and trades, utilizing pre-installation meetings to review compliance with specifications, start and completion dates, and quality of performance.
• Review and understand plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings to verify construction accuracy in all phases.
• Supervise and enforce all safety protocols in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risk.
• Complete required documentation including daily logs, approval off timecards for field employees, as-built conditions, monthly progress updates, etc.
• Foster positive communication and relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, and all project teams.

Experience / Qualifications :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry
• Prior experience as a Construction Superintendent managing multiple crews
• OSHA 30 Certification required

Knowledge and Skills :

• Able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Bachelors’ degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred but not required)
• Commitment to working as part of a family-oriented team
• Self-starter, have the self-initiative for project leadership
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Comfortable with using a computer, laptop, smartphone
• Familiar with Procore preferred but not required
