Investment Banking Associate

Mirus Capital Advisors, one of the largest independent, middle‑market investment banking firms in New England, seeks to hire an Associate in its mergers & acquisitions advisory group. The role is suited for professionals with 3‑4 years of experience in the investment banking or private equity industries. The position requires understanding of accounting and corporate finance, modeling and analytical skills, and strong communication skills. You will work on transactions involving software, consumer products, healthcare, business services, and industrial companies. Responsibilities Researching and preparing pitch books for new business development and client marketing activities. Drafting merger and acquisition research reports. Building complex M&A financial models. Synthesizing various data sources to distill and present key operational metrics. Interfacing with client and team members to develop positioning for and manage client documentation processes. Supporting transaction negotiations, bid processes, online data rooms, and due diligence activities on behalf of clients. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business. 3‑4 years of work experience in investment banking or private equity.
