Position Summary The Director of Sales – General Industries will lead a sales team focused on driving profitable and sustainable growth with the Industrial OEM team and their partner sub-suppliers in the US market. The role involves developing a robust pipeline, growing the business with new and existing customers, and executing growth targets in collaboration with the team. Reporting to the VP of OEM Sales, the Sales Director creates and implements sales strategy and plans. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate the account sales team by building a strong pipeline of new opportunities. Develop sustainable and profitable market share growth with current and new customers. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a rolling three‑year strategic plan and roadmap for growth. Create yearly business plans, update monthly progress, and partner with the sales team to achieve results. Support career development and training of the sales team where needed. Grow top‑line revenue faster than the broader industry; ensure revenue growth is profitable. Bring forward customer voice insights and market trends to support product development, investment and innovation. Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop others, including training and mentoring both directly and indirectly. Influence others through negotiation skills, persuasiveness, and tenacity in follow‑up. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with key internal partners to achieve shared objectives. Communicate expectations across functions. Operational Excellence Demonstrate understanding of financial and accounting practices. Strategic Communication Develop positive and lasting relationships with external and internal customers at all levels. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively. Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in Application/Sales Engineering, Business Development, Sales or Sales Management for an industrial component company. Aggressive, relentlessly inquisitive, and entrepreneurial mindset. Passion for success and winning. Proven ability to build rapport with customers and cross‑functional teams without formal authority. Thrives in a team environment and acts as a leader by teaching, coaching, mentoring, and setting a professional example. In-depth knowledge of the industry, customer products, business strategies, financials, and competitive threats. Strong ability to craft compelling customer value propositions. Embraces change for efficiency and effectiveness. Demonstrated success and career progression within an industrial products company. Travel Requirements 50% travel.
