Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Rotating night/evening shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours accepted), primarily night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled are required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate will be adept in managing patients of all age ranges, handling complex diagnoses, and performing acute care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the emergency department, addressing a variety of medical conditions.
• Administer emergency medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Conduct assessments and develop nursing care plans for diverse patient populations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Float within the specialty and sister facilities as needed.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS. NRP and TNCC are preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
