Overview Integration Analyst and Developer with expertise in HL7 and healthcare interoperability standards to support the exchange of clinical and operational data across healthcare systems. The candidate will analyze workflows, map data, and define interface requirements to design, implement, and maintain reliable system integrations. This role involves daily collaboration with technical and operational teams in EHR, Laboratory, and Ambulatory areas. Candidates must hold a valid Bridges Certification, have strong knowledge of InterSystems IRIS for Health, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience with EHR-to-Epic conversion and healthcare data is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Analyze and document business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel through basic conceptual data, process models and flowcharts, and technical specifications. Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors to assess business and clinical needs; create business, functional and technical requirements documents per departmental protocol/standards. Convert information gathered into details including data sources, data and user types, interface components, navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs. Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues and other non-functional requirements. Provide the project management team with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities; assist in developing solutions. Partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation in accordance with project schedule. Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups; oversee and execute follow-up activities. Ensure the software development team accounts for all defined requirements in coordination with the quality assurance team and that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards. Document changes to baseline requirements through the standard change control process; document software test plans, release notes, user guides, training guidelines, and other materials. Plan, coordinate, and support unit acceptance testing and deployments in coordination with other team leaders. Perform end-user and application support functions, including problem solving and resolution of application function defects. Develop and execute project presentations; participate in special projects as required. Provide training and mentorship for junior clinical business analysts and other project team members; manage and evaluate work products as assigned. Lead the training, development, and implementation of process improvements for projects and applications; identify opportunities and propose changes with clear communication strategies. Provide supervision and direction to junior clinical business analysts, analysts at Levels I and II, consultants, and other project team members. Interview Junior Clinical Business Analysts, Clinical Business Analysts at Level I and II, consultants, and other team members as needed. Occasional overtime may be required due to role responsibilities. This role is approximately 80% remote and up to 20% on-site; the selected candidate must be able to come into the office within 48 hours as required. Qualifications and Requirements Certification(s)/License(s): Specialty certification(s) issued by a national program, state, professional society, academic or technical institution in relevant areas; Epic Certification strongly preferred. Other Preferred Skills: Clinical background (preferred); at least 2 full life-cycle implementations (preferred). Educational Level: A Master’s Degree or advanced clinical degree with two years of experience leading requirements for software in clinical or healthcare domains; or a Bachelor’s Degree with five years of relevant experience; or a satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
