MRI Tech needed. Performs MRI examinations. Prepares neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients for technical scans and organ treatments to furnish diagnostic information. Operates MRI equipment to produce scans. Provides support and training assistance while functioning in all aspects of the position. Assists in the maintenance of equipment and quality assurance programs to meet regulatory and accreditation standards. Serves as department liaison. Establishes and maintains department policies and procedures. Implements quality assurance programs, safety protocols, and infection control standards. Performs radiographic examinations including general radiographic, surgical, portable, emergency, trauma, and outpatient exams. Selects and operates equipment within the hospital and department guidelines. Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality and completeness, ensuring quality images. Obtains patient histories, answers patient questions, and explains procedures. Provides radiation protection as prescribed for patients, employees, visitors, and physicians. Maintains department facilities, equipment, and materials to promote efficiency and safety. Assists physicians during examinations, adapting to individual routines. Oversees and trains other personnel, allocating and monitoring work. Maintains effective communication with the department, providing information to patients, physicians, and visitors. Maintains effective ethical and interpersonal skills. Prepares, updates, and maintains department records, files, and reports. Participates in clerical responsibilities including operation of the front reception area. Enhances professional growth and development through education programs, literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Assists with patient transport as necessary. Demonstrates flexibility in duty assignments and schedules. Adheres to department and hospital policies and procedures.
