Accounting Manager

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $130,000 to $170,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the month end and year end close activities and ensure accurate and compliant financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and provide clear explanations for results and trends.
• Maintain and improve internal controls to protect assets and support reliable data.
• Coordinate audit activities and assist with tax preparation and related filings.
• Identify process gaps and implement system and workflow improvements to support scale.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups and pivot tables, and experience with enterprise accounting systems.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and comfort navigating the general ledger for multiple entities.
• Strong analytical ability with clear written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred but not required.
• Experience with complex topics such as derivative accounting.
• Ability to explain financial information to non finance partners in a simple and clear manner.
• Organized and detail focused with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
