Biomedical Equipment Technician 1

GE HealthCare seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide onsite service and maintenance support for medical equipment at healthcare facilities in the Asheville, NC area. The role involves diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction while working under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair biomedical equipment issues at customer hospital locations
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety/environmental inspections on medical devices
• Assist experienced technicians with basic and complex repair tasks as assigned
• Document repair actions and submit reports according to established schedules
• Maintain communication with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up satisfaction

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military education
• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment
• Knowledge of electronic digital circuitry and electro-mechanical devices
• Experience interpreting schematic diagrams
• Strong analytical and communication skills for technical explanations
• Willingness to work rotating on-call schedule including weekends
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship
