Ryder is hiring a Non-CDL Truck Driver in Edgewood, NY. The role offers weekly pay starting at $1,140, a 26' box truck, and a 40–50 hour week Monday–Friday with no weekends. Pay & Schedule Weekly pay: $1,140 or more. Hourly rate: $24.00 per hour. Hours: 40–50 per week Monday–Friday (no weekends). Start time: 5:00 AM dispatch. Route & Equipment Deliver solo within 250 mile radius of Edgewood, NY (including the 5 boroughs). Local Home Daily route. Truck type: 26' box truck. Equipment: Dolly and door cart. Freight: Touch – Windows & Doors. Truck: 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations. Responsibilities Safely drive a vehicle within the assigned area while complying with safety regulations and providing excellent customer service. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and agency rules. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards. Maintain accurate records, including loading and unloading freight as required by customers. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age. Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience, or 6 months in the past 3 years, or 2 years in the past 5 years, or 5 years in the past 10 years. Must have verifiable driving experience on equipment similar to a straight truck or box truck. Pass a Ryder drug test. Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years. Pass a DOT physical. Pass a Ryder road test. Valid driver’s license. Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.
