RN- Days- ICU Stepdown

Job Summary This RN position applies the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN leads licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, cultural sensitivity, and support of unit and department goals. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Work Experience None required. Certifications Current RN license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in computers, software, and web‑based applications. Effective verbal and written communication, presenting information clearly and professionally. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Job Duties Use the nursing process in patient care delivery. Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and interprofessional groups. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team. Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes. Promote customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement. Perform other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands Exertion of 50–100 lbs occasionally or 25–50 lbs frequently. Requires walking or standing, pushing/pulling, and exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous medications or waste. Occupational risk for communicable diseases is present.
