Senior Affordable Housing Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Affordable Housing Associate in Boise, ID. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in affordable housing and a strong commitment to client service. This role involves working with a dynamic team to provide comprehensive legal counsel on real estate matters. Duties Manage the full lifecycle of affordable housing deals, including site control and due diligence. Draft and negotiate core deal documents such as development and partnership agreements. Coordinate with lenders, investors, and municipal agencies on complex transactions. Advise on HUD programs and state housing finance agency requirements. Handle preservation, resyndications, and rehabilitation projects. Requirements Six or more years of affordable housing experience. Proficiency in LIHTC, tax-exempt bond financings, and layered financing structures. Experience with multi-party, multi-deadline transactions. JD and active bar membership in good standing. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Active bar membership. Skills Strong negotiation and drafting skills. Ability to manage complex transactions and coordinate with multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with HUD programs and state housing requirements. Benefits Comprehensive training programs and retreats.
