International Research Equity Analyst

International Research Analyst – Los Angeles Kayne Anderson Rudnick Investment, a Registered Investment Advisor based in Los Angeles, is hiring an International Research Analyst with a small/mid‑cap focus. The role is a generalist position that assesses industry dynamics, identifies competitively advantaged businesses, conducts financial analysis, writes research reports, and makes investment recommendations. The analyst is expected to be comfortable with both growth and value investment styles and domestic & international accounting standards. The position is based in our Los Angeles office with a hybrid 3/2 schedule. Job Responsibilities Perform extensive fundamental research on public companies to identify businesses with durable competitive advantage. Analyze various business models within an industry and compare relative strengths and weaknesses to identify competitive advantages. Conduct financial and valuation analysis. Prepare research reports, written and verbal presentations of findings. Make portfolio recommendations based on research. Maintain knowledge of industry sectors. Establish and maintain relationships with investor contacts, including Wall Street brokers, analysts, company contacts, and client contacts. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of international/emerging market small‑mid‑cap research experience. Strong understanding of accounting and financial statements; ability to construct and interpret financial models. Knowledge of industry sectors, including drivers of cycles, sector differentiators, peer groups, and relative positioning. Excellent prioritization and organization skills to stay current on portfolio holdings and screen new ideas. Strong writing skills for company reports and other communications. Effective oral presentation skills to explain and recommend equities. Proficiency with computer‑based information systems such as Excel, Bloomberg, and FactSet. Travel as needed. Compensation The starting salary range is $135,000 to $160,000, commensurate with education, experience, and market data. The position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan.
