Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Additionally, there's a potential need for a talented braille transcriber to facilitate accessible materials, ensuring all learners have the resources they need to succeed. Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Additional Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist credentials highly valued
- Experience with braille instruction and adaptive technologies
- Knowledge of educational best practices for supporting students with visual impairments
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Problem-solving skills and a compassionate, student-centered approach
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver effective instructional plans tailored to individual student needs
- Provide direct instruction in academic content, braille, and assistive technology
- Support students’ independence, orientation, and mobility within school environments
- Collaborate on IEP development and implementation
- Work closely with educational teams, sharing resources and strategies
- Serve as an advocate for student needs in various school settings
