Partnering closely with the Director of Finance, you will take ownership of the day-to-day accounting activities that support the organization. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, proficiency with accounting software, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once. If you enjoy being the go-to person for accounting operations, take pride in accuracy, and thrive in a role where you can make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do:You'll manage the organization's accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, maintain accurate financial records, coordinate documentation, and provide administrative support to the organization. Specifically, you'll: Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, credit card expenses, utility bills, and check runsReconcile job-related financial data in QuickBooks and BuilderTrend to ensure accurate project costing and reportingTrack customer and lender payments while maintaining accurate accounts receivable recordsManage vendor onboarding, including W-9 collection, 1099 tracking, ACH setup, and insurance certificate administrationOversee construction financial documentation, including sworn statements, lien waivers, client affidavits, and draw approvalsMonitor outstanding balances, track returned lien waivers, and follow up on missing documentation to support timely project fundingGenerate monthly invoices, margin invoices, and change order reports to support project billing activitiesAssist with job closeouts, financial reconciliations, and year-end 1099 review processesMaintain organized electronic financial records and support accurate reporting across multiple projectsProvide general administrative support, including backup reception coverage, payroll support, company communications, and event coordination assistance In addition to working within our strong employee-focused culture, you will get:Competitive compensation Company profit sharingMedical, vison, and dental insuranceEmployee assistance program401(k) with a company matchPaid time off 7 paid holidaysEnjoy employee events throughout the year (picnics, sledding, holiday dinner, etc.) If you like a company that's big enough to provide stability yet small enough where you can have autonomy within your work and move fast, Engelsma Homes is the place for you.
