Licensed Practical Nurse – Corrections

Reliable Health Care Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care in a supportive and team-oriented environment at High Desert State Prison in Indian Springs, Nevada.

Responsibilities include:

• Support Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) & Substance Abuse Programs
• Collect and report objective and subjective patient data to supervising clinical staff
• Observe and report changes in patient condition, symptoms, or behavior
• Administer prescribed medications safely and accurately
• Secure, count, and document controlled substances per facility protocol
• Document care provided and observations in accordance with facility standards
• Assist with treatments, wound care, and therapeutic procedures
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies; provide CPR and first aid
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment; uphold infection control standards
• Participate in shift reports, handoffs, and team huddles
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, mental health staff, and support team
• Perform other LPN-level duties as assigned by nursing leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Nevada LPN license in good standing
• Current BLS/CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an LPN in a skilled nursing, inpatient, behavioral health, or correctional environment
• Experience with Substance Abuse strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to document accurately
• Ability to respond professionally to acutely ill, agitated, or combative patients.
• Must pass required drug and background checks and meet Reliable employment standards
