The Banner Gateway Medical Surgical Unit is a very busy 24-bed unit that specializes in care of oncology patients, from diagnosis, treatment, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation treatment, symptom management, palliative (supportive) care, clinical trials, and care of some stem cell patients.

A high percentage of our patients have a diagnosis of leukemia, but we care for patients with all types of cancer. We are affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center and work closely with them to ensure our patients get the best cancer care possible.

Many of our patients have extended stays to complete their course of treatment. This allows us to really get to know each patient and his or her family members and helps to form a therapeutic relationship/bond. Our nurses find this aspect of the job very rewarding.

Schedule: Full time Day and Nights available; 36 hours per week - 7:00am-7:30pm (Days) 7:00pm-7:30am (Nights). Med/Surg experienced RN with BSN is highly preferred but not required.
