About the Role:
Step-By-Step Therapeutic Services is a pediatric therapy company looking for a part time dedicated Speech Therapist to join our growing team in Washington, DC any days after school from 3-6pm
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services across a range of communication disorders
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, educators, and caregivers
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home practice strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Valid DC state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Experience working with pediatric and/or autism populations preferred
- Strong knowledge of AAC, articulation, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and care teams
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong organizational skills
