Financial Management Specialist Duties
As a Financial Management Specialist at the GS-0501-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serves as a senior remediation specialist and project lead providing assistance and guidance concerning financial statement and process deficiencies.
- Plans remediation program activities, conduct root cause analyses, develop remediation plans, and implement corrective actions for internal and external accounting, audit, and budget deficiencies.
- Manages financial improvement and audit remediation activities.
- Develops and maintains supporting documentation for remediation activities and policy revisions.
- Develops accounting, audit, and internal control policies and practices impacting Transportation Working Capital Fund financial reporting, operating results, and auditability.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
