Registered Nurse (RN)/Neuro Advanced Care

Clinical Nurse (CN) – Neurology – Miami Valley Hospital Full‑time 7:00 P – 7:30 A, 72 hours per pay period. The Clinical Nurse (CN) functions in a multi‑faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence‑based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others. Education Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; a BSN is required or must be obtained within five years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within six months of hire. Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years of acute‑care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU, which must be obtained within three years of hire. Licensure / Certification / Registration Valid Ohio RN license. Current AHA BLS certification required at the time of hire. Experience Previous hospital‑based RN experience preferred. Knowledge / Skills Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. Basic computer knowledge. Strong organization skills.
